About Dr. Motwani

Dr. Motwani was born in a small town called Vadodara in India. After graduating from medical school in India, he moved to the United States where he completed further medical training. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. During his residency training, he was exposed to various cardiovascular diseases and novel treatment options which piqued his interest in Cardiology and ultimately led to his decision to pursue further training in this specialty. He subsequently completed his Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology fellowships from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Dr. Motwani has a special interest in the treatment of coronary and peripheral vascular disease. He has been involved in clinical research throughout his training and has multiple peer reviewed articles published in multiple journals.He strives to bring this same evidenced-based approach to the treatment of his patients everyday.

Dr. Motwani has a special interest in medical education for which he has received multiple teaching awards, which include Resident Teaching Award (2016-2017), Resident of the Month and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Resident of the Month.

Dr. Motwani is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and maintains board certifications in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular disease, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography, Vascular Imaging interpretation and Nuclear cardiology. 

Dr. Motwani is fluent in English, Hindi, Gujarati.

Dr. Motwani has practiced in New Orleans and Los Angeles. He is now practicing in the North Dallas area in Texas and is seeing patients in clinics in Sherman, Texas, Anna, Texas  and Durant , Oklahoma starting mid August, 2024.

​

In his free time, Dr. Motwani likes to spend time with his wife and dog, explore restaurants in the metroplex, workout and travel.
